Bhopal Plus serves as a single platform for the citizens to engage with the government, avail citizen centric services register, municipality related complaints/grievances, learn about governance schemes, projects, and initiatives. The four main components of Bhopal Plus are Citizen Collaboration, Grievance redressal, Citizen service delivery (G2C & B2C services) and Public dashboard.

Bhopal Plus has the sole goal to make citizen engagement an integral part of the governance policy/scheme, project planning and implementation. There is a 24x7 toll free call centre (18002330014) support for Bhopal Plus.

Features & Services available on Bhopal plus:

  • Payment of property tax, water tax and electricity bill payment
  • Collaboration Platform – Citizen can provide inputs/opinions, give feedback, etc. on various policy related and local governance topics by participating in various discussions, polls and surveys available on the collaboration platform of Bhopal Plus.
  • Live Bus route planner service – Live running status of bus within Bhopal city.
  • Dynamic city dashboard – Highlight live Bhopal city feeds (Weather updates, twitter updates related to BSCDCL).
  • Search for local hospitals and clinics.
  • Users can register/apple for birth registration, death registration and marriage registration.
  • Users can submit the request for installation of solar plants on domestic premise.
  • Dynamic city dashboard – Pollution levels of the city, local news, etc.
  • Mayor Express – Booking plumber, electrician, gardener, etc. through Bhopal Plus.
  • Report an incident- With this feature, users can directly report any municipal or traffic related issueto the administration.
  •  Report lost article- Using Report Lost Article, users can register complaint for lost articles like mobilephone, PAN card, passport and others. Users can also look up complaints made by them using thecomplaint number.
  • Vehicle Search- It will be possible to give users a way to verify authenticity of second hand vehicles.
  • Towed Vehicle Search- This feature requires association with Traffic Police Department of Bhopal.Using this feature, users can check if there vehicle has been towed by the officials.
  • Help Me- This feature allows user to seek help in Emergency situations. The SOS message getscommunicated to police department as well as saved contacts of the user.
  • Call Police- The feature provides a list of law enforcement officials in the region along with theircontact number. Users can directly get in touch with them and communicate their issues.

Main Components of Bhopal Plus:

Citizen Collaboration Platform- The collaboration platform forms an integral part of Bhopal Plus, which envisions engaging citizens in governance processes through participatory governance. The platform helps the people of the city to participate in the policy-making and decision-making process of the government through contribution in governance. Some of the salient features of the citizen collaboration module integrated into the platform are:

  • Citizens can collaborate and provide inputs/opinions on various policy-related and local governance topics through discussions, polls, and surveys.
  • Solicit popular opinion from citizens through polls and surveys on various topics of relevance for making intelligent and appropriate decisions to benefit the people.
  • Enable citizen participation in on-ground, online contests and volunteer work to support the government.

Citizen Service Delivery - The feature allows citizens to avail G2C and B2C citizen centric services available on the Bhopal Plus platform. Citizens will have the provision to request/track in order to get desired results from a service. The desired results could be in the form of a certificate being requested, generation of application id for a service request, making payments for utility bills and generation of utility bills, etc.

City dashboard- The application consists of a public dashboard which will disseminate live data feeds related to the Bhopal city and would also provide quantitative analysis of citizen engagement and service delivery through the Bhopal Plus application.

Grievance redressal- The application provides the provision to submit user grievances and track the status of the submitted grievances.

Together this app would serve as a one-stop web portal and mobile application for Government Citizen Engagement and Collaboration, avail citizen services, accessing live city feeds, grievance redressel, etc.
